The following is a description of the use of the compaction nut tool:
Prepare:
1.Select the appropriate compaction nut and tool: choose the appropriate type of compaction nut and matching compaction tool according to the thickness of the plate and the desired thread specification.
2.Check sheet metal and pre-drilled hole: Ensure sheet metal meets requirements (e.g., low-carbon steel sheet hardness less than 70RB, stainless steel less than 80RB). The diameter of the pre-drilled hole shall be less than the diameter of the knurled teeth of the pressurised nut and the tolerance shall be between 0 and +0.075mm. Boxing is best.
3.Clean sheet metal surfaces: Remove oil, oxide layers and other impurities to ensure good contact between the pressing nut and sheet metal.
4.Install pressing nuts:
V. Press the nut into the pre-drilling hole: Make sure the nut is perpendicular to the surface of the plate and the knurled teeth are fully embedded in the hole.
V. Fixed Pressing Nut:
Press the the knurled teeth of the nut into the sheet metal using a special compaction tool. Pressure forces the knurled teeth into the metal plate, causing plastic deformation around the hole. The deformed material is squeezed into the guide groove, creating a locking effect.
Control Riveting Force: adjust riveting machine pressure according to sheet metal thickness and nut specification to ensure that the riveting nut's teeth are fully embedded in the plate while avoiding excessive pressure that could cause the nut to deform or damage the thread.
Check Installation Quality:
Visual inspection: Make sure the rivets are flush with the surface of the plate and free from warping, distortion or other defects.
Safety check: Give the nut a gentle tug with your hand or tool to make sure it is securely fastened to the metal plate without any looseness.
Thread-checking: Test thread-leveling using bolts or screws of appropriate specification without any jamming, flaking or other problems.
Post-treatment:
Surface cleaning: Remove metal shavings and other impurities from riveting and keep the surface clean.
Corrosion Protection: according to the requirements of the usage environment, the riveting areas are treated with antisepsis, such as spraying, plating, etc., in order to prolong service life.

Choose Appropriate Riveting Tools: Make sure the tool's specifications and performance match the rivet nuts and avoid installation quality problems due to improper tools.
Control riveting parameters: strictly according to the requirements of nut and plates, control riveting force, riveting time and other parameters to avoid excessiveriveting or inadequateriveting.
Avoid damaging threads: During installation, care should be taken to protect the nut threads from damage due to improper operation, affecting subsequent connections.
Adhere to safe operation procedure: when using rivet tools, wear protective articles such as glasses and gloves to avoid personal injury caused by metal shavings.
